The following reinstatement process gives former PSIA-AASI members a path to return to active certified membership. This process outlines how to re-activate your certification and is applicable for all divisions across the country. The reinstatement process can occur at any time during the year and is standardized for all disciplines.

This process is not required if educational units are current at the time of reinstatement. Members also have the option of going through the certification process if they would like another way to become an active certified member.

Reactivation:

1-Year Membership Lapse

• Members who have missed a year of membership dues will be required to pay last year’s membership dues (+ late fee) as well as the current year’s membership dues and continue to follow CEU requirements.

2-4 Year Membership Lapse

• Members will be required to pay a $200 reinstatement fee as well as the current year’s dues.
• Members will be required to earn 6 CEUs for each year they have not paid dues.
• Members who wish to become an inactive certified member must fulfill guidelines for inactive members.
• The person’s membership card will indicate updated status.

Recertification:

5 Years or More Lapsed Membership:

• Members will be required to pay a $300 reinstatement fee as well as the current year’s dues.
• Members will be required to earn 24 CEUs within two seasons. Members will be responsible for working with – and getting approval from – their division for their personal recertification plan.
• The person’s membership card will show inactive certified status until their personal recertification plan is complete.

*Individuals wishing to re-join PSIA-AASI can do so as an Alumni member if they meet qualifications or as a Registered member.

If you wish to take a certification exam or certificate program in a Division other than Northern Intermountain, you will need to contact the office first. The other Divisions may charge different amounts for dues, clinics, and certification exams, and may also impose different requirements/processes for certification.

If an event fills, a waitlist may be available to allow further registrations in case any participants cancel. To inquire about the possibility of being added to the waitlist for an event, please contact the office (memberservices@thesnowpros.org, 303-987-9390).

The most important thing is to make sure to fulfill the continuing education requirements in order to maintain your certification. A full catalog of our clinics for you to browse can be found on each discipline’s page.

On the registration deadline (generally one week prior to a clinic, and two weeks prior to an exam), we look at the number of people signed up for an event and determine if there are enough people to move forward with this event or if we have to cancel the event due to lack of registrants. We need at least six people registered for any one event for it to run.

Yes, you can take clinics in other PSIA/AASI divisions, and the credits transfer between divisions. It is the responsibility of the division where the clinic is offered to notify your member division that you’ve taken a clinic in another division. If you want to take a certification exam in another division, you need to have a permission letter sent to that division from your home division. Clinic passes from other divisions do not transfer into Northern Intermountain or vice versa.

You may receive up to 12 CEUs every four seasons for qualifying educational events taken outside of PSIA/AASI. For more information, please consult this form. To request credit for such events, please fill out this form and send it to the division office (memberservices@thesnowpros.org, 303-987-9390). Events are subject to approval by division office, and a $40 processing fee will apply.

1. Sign on to the National website, using your current username (usually your email address) and your current password (typically your ID number).
2. Once it greets you as successfully signed in, go to “My Profile” in the upper right corner of the page.
3. On the right side of this page is an option to “Change My Password.”
